ClassSwift Account Types

ClassSwift provides two account types designed to accommodate varying user needs and teaching environments: Entity Account and Individual Account.

Entity Account

Entity accounts are tailored for districts and schools, offering centralized management and advanced integration capabilities.

Key Characteristics

  • Managed through a centralized admin panel on ClassSwift Hub.
  • Supports integration with rostering systems like ClassLink and Clever.
  • Enables bulk import of teachers.
  • Provides organization-wide analytics and usage reports.

User Roles

  • Admin/Owner: Sets up the organization, manages rosters, and monitors usage through ClassSwift Hub.
  • Teacher: Assigned to pre-rostered classes and conducts sessions using the ClassSwift App.
  • Student: Joins classes through accounts provisioned by the entity.

Individual Account

Individual accounts are designed for independent educators, tutors, or trial users who manage their own classroom setup.

Key Characteristics

  • Allows self-service sign-up.
  • Ideal for personal use.
  • Combines admin and teacher roles, providing access to the same tools and functionality available to entity users.

User Roles

  • Teacher: Acts as the sole admin of their account. Teachers can manually roster students before class or share a Quick Join link or QR code to allow students to join instantly without prior setup.
  • Student: Joins classes using the link or QR code shared by the teacher. No pre-rostered account is required.
