Instant Push

A one-click shortcut that captures a full-screen screenshot and immediately sends it to all students for annotation or sketch responses. This feature is ideal for fast, interactive activities on large touch screens like ViewBoard.

Prerequisites

Ensure the following before using Instant Push:

  • You are in an active lesson, and students have joined.
  • The content you want students to annotate is visible on your screen.

Using Instant Push

To use Instant Push, follow these steps:

  1. Display the slide, webpage, or document you want students to annotate.
  2. Tap Instant Push on the in-class toolbar.
ClassSwift will take a full-screen screenshot and send it to all students automatically.

  3. Switch to the Records view.
Student submissions will appear as individual cards.

  4. Review and provide feedback:
    a. Click a student card to open their submission.
    b. Annotate or mark their work, then click Send & Save to return feedback.

  5. Click End task to stop collecting responses.
Alternatively, click End all tasks to conclude every active prompt.

Tips for Effective Use

  • Use Instant Push for quick assessments, live demos, or impromptu activities.
  • Since it captures your entire screen, ensure sensitive information or unnecessary windows are hidden beforehand.
  • For more targeted activities, consider using Custom Push instead of Instant Push.
